Jinblossom Kim was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. She received her BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in Kansas City, and she is currently attending the Ohio State University for her MFA. Her ceramics are a direct homage to her parents and represents her memories of them. Decorative elements of her work portray the value she places upon these memories, thinking of her parents highly with respect and love. She also maintained this sort of precision while exploring her own Korean culture, especially in the idea of motherhood and identity.
