Josiah Jamison is a Black contemporary realist painter who lives and works in Columbus, Ohio, where they are completing their Master's degree in Drawing and Painting at The Ohio State University. Jamison makes paintings, drawings, furniture, and installations that draw on African American history and phycology. In addition, they explore the many avenues that untreated mental health can manifest in our day-to-day lives and relationships—documenting a person's transparent descent into madness from pursuing their desires. Jamison's work has been exhibited at Beeler Gallery, Acock Gallery, Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, Sean-Christopher Gallery, and Columbus Museum of Art.
