Education

  • BFA - Studio Arts from Brigham Young University (2020)

Through carefully rendered drawings and prints, Mandy Darrington retells personal history and explores the ideas that we both shape and are shaped by the spaces we inhabit. Introspectively surveying memory, her work investigates the feeling of displacement caused by the intersection between settled and unsettled places. Directly influenced by years spent in the Northwest and Intermountain West of the United States, she views geography as an active storyteller and aims to personify the land and its inhabitants.

Her work has been shown nationally and internationally, including Works on Paper (2019, Lovelace, NJ) and Puertográfico 2020 (2020, Puerto Rico). In 2020, she received a BFA from Brigham Young University. She is currently pursuing an MFA at The Ohio State University.
