Shana A. Noghabi is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, installation, virtual reality, and video. Born in Reading, England, and raised in Iran, her art practice explores transitional states, memory, and the experience of in-betweenness. She is particularly interested in liminal spaces—where boundaries blur—and how identity forms through contrasts such as presence and absence, past and present, and the physical and virtual. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Painting from Iran University of Art in Tehran. Her work has been exhibited in contemporary art spaces in Iran, including Vista Art Gallery, Aria Art Gallery, and the Iranian Academy of Arts. It has also been shortlisted in several art competitions and received awards such as the Mohsen Projects Conceptual Art Grant and the Visitors’ Choice Award at the 5th Vista Contemporary Art Prize.
She is currently pursuing her MFA in Art and Technology at The Ohio State University.
