Congratulations to Department of Art Faculty awarded Greater Columbus Arts Council Community Reviewed Grants

The Greater Columbus Arts Council received 291 applications for the first round. To assist applicants, Grants & Community Impact staff offered a virtual informational session, plus three in-person writing sessions assisted by GCAC Navigators.

After staff reviewed applications for eligibility and completeness, eligible applications were sent to a panel of 20 local arts administrators and leaders who served as initial reviewers. These reviewers scored applications to determine the 99 finalists that were sent on for community review.

GCAC held its Community Review Day on May 9 at Columbus State Community College, with more than 200 in-person community reviewers assessing and discussing applications in groups before submitting scores for each one using a public scoring rubric.
