Ken Rinaldo (he/him) is an internationally recognized artist whose pioneering robotic, bio art, and AI-driven installations explore communication among humans, animals, plants, microorganisms and intelligent machines. For more than four decades, he has created living, interactive ecosystems that investigate trans-species communication, collective intelligence and the evolving relationship between biology and technology. His work has been exhibited at leading international institutions including the Changwon Sculpture Biennale (Korea), Ars Electronica Festival (Austria), B3 Biennale of Moving Image (Germany), the State Hermitage Museum (Russia), Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art (Finland), the National Art Museum of China (Beijing), the Peabody Essex Museum (USA), Transmediale (Berlin), ARCO Madrid (Spain), Climate Film Festival (NY) and Wexner Center for the Arts. Rinaldo is the recipient of an Award of Distinction at Ars Electronica, First Prize at VIDA 3.0, and a United Nations Green Leaf Award, and is a Vancouver Olympic Cultural Olympiad. His work has been featured in The New York Times, Wired, CNN, BBC, CNET and the Discovery Channel, and is widely published in books on contemporary art, robotics and bio art. His art and installations are held in museums and private collections and have been presented in more than 35 countries.
