ART MFA Tristan Turner featured on NBC News

Art MFA student Tristan Turner appeared on NBC News on Saturday, September 27, 2025, sharing his collaborative film project that documents the flooding and aftermath of Hurricane Helene, which devastated his community in Western North Carolina last year. The 16mm film was developed using the flood water that it documented, which caused artifacts of blistering, staining, and weathering. It was recently screened as part of the anniversary of Helene at the Pack Memorial Library in Asheville, NC.
