Using experimental animation that engages with current events, my work seeks to rally my peers into creating waves of change. Exploring design trends that are popular amongst the millennial demographic, I create work that speaks to activist efforts while remaining palatable to its audience. ‘User-friendliness’ is a key factor in the production of my time-based pieces. My 2D animations use common materials like ink pens and watercolor, whereas my stop motion shorts involve items that can be found in general stores. I use everyday supplies to convey ideas economically with items that viewers can relate to. My goal as an artist is to critique the current socio-political climate using visual trends that resonate with a diverse audience.
