George Rush is a Professor in the Painting and Drawing program of the Department of Art. He received a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art and an MFA from Columbia University School of the Arts. In addition to participating in numerous group exhibitions, since 2001 he has had solo exhibitions in New York, Copenhagen, Madrid, Miami, Santa Fe, and Michigan. He has received awards from the New York Foundation of the Arts and the Pollock-Krasner Foundation.
