Hannah grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in painting from the Maine College of Art (MECA) in the spring of 2015 where she was awarded the John D. and Barbara D. Muench Endowed Memorial Grant. After her time in Maine, Hannah spent time moving around the country. These travels included marking pine beetle trees in the Black Hills and a residence on an island in Northern Washington where she continued to investigate human involvement in public and private spaces. Her work has been exhibited both independently and in group shows, some being “Mundanity and Mysticism: Drawing out the Self,” “Who’s There,” and “The Waterbed.” She continues to see her work as an investigation of imperceptible transitions, like the untraceable pattern of light on a body of water, or the decay of an over ripened pear.
