Hannah​ ​grew​ ​up​ ​in​ ​the​ ​Black​ ​Hills​ ​of​ ​South​ ​Dakota.​ ​She​ ​received​ ​her​ ​Bachelors​ ​of​ ​Fine Arts​ ​in​ ​painting​ ​from​ ​the​ ​Maine​ ​College​ ​of​ ​Art​ ​(MECA)​ ​in​ ​the​ ​spring​ ​of​ ​2015​ ​where​ ​she was​ ​awarded​ ​the​ ​John​ ​D.​ ​and​ ​Barbara​ ​D.​ ​Muench​ ​Endowed​ ​Memorial​ ​Grant.​ ​After​ ​her time​ ​in​ ​Maine,​ ​Hannah​ ​spent​ ​time​ ​moving​ ​around​ ​the​ ​country.​ ​These​ ​travels​ ​included marking​ ​pine​ ​beetle​ ​trees​ ​in​ ​the​ ​Black​ ​Hills​ ​and​ ​a​ ​residence​ ​on​ ​an​ ​island​ ​in​ ​Northern Washington​ ​where​ ​she​ ​continued​ ​to​ ​investigate​ ​human​ ​involvement​ ​in​ ​public​ ​and private​ ​spaces.​ ​Her​ ​work​ ​has​ ​been​ ​exhibited​ ​both​ ​independently​ ​and​ ​in​ ​group​ ​shows, some​ ​being​ ​​“Mundanity​ ​ and​ ​ Mysticism:​ ​ Drawing​ ​ out​ ​ the​ ​ Self,”​​ ​​“Who’s​ ​ There,”​​ ​and​ ​​“The Waterbed.”​​ ​She​ ​continues​ ​to​ ​see​ ​her​ ​work​ ​as​ ​an​ ​investigation​ ​of​ ​imperceptible transitions,​ ​like​ ​the​ ​untraceable​ ​pattern​ ​of​ ​light​ ​on​ ​a​ ​body​ ​of​ ​water,​ ​or​ ​the​ ​decay​ ​of​ ​an over​ ​ripened​ ​pear.
