Marcus Morris is a multidisciplinary artist and image-maker whose work centers on queerness and performers. He was born and raised in Zanesville, Ohio, and obtained a BFA from Columbus College of Art & Design. In addition, he spent six months studying Art and Photography at The Michaelis School of Fine Art at The University of Cape Town in Cape Town, South Africa. Based in Brooklyn, NY, since 2012, he is currently an MFA candidate and Graduate Fellow at The Ohio State University. Since beginning the MFA, he is researching a project focused on Black and Queer identity in Appalachia called "Elegance Is Refusal."
