Katie Coughlin (b.1988) grew up in Brooklyn, New York and received a BFA from Alfred University in 2010. After graduation, she continually travelled west, becoming an intern at Anderson Ranch in Colorado and running the pottery studio at The Canvas in Juneau, Alaska. In 2011, Katie then moved to Montana, accepting a long-term residency position at Red Lodge Clay Center and then completing a post-bac at the University of Montana. After spending a couple of years back with her grandma in Brooklyn, Katie is now an MFA candidate at The Ohio State University.
