Public Narrative Collaborative Grants Awarded to Faculty & Students

We are pleased to announce several Department of Art faculty and students have received small grants from the Public Narrative Collaborative!

Laura Lisbon has received $3000 to bring artist David Thomas from Australia, as part of her exhibition, Impermanent Durations 4: On Painting and Time UAS.

Hannah Parrett has received $1500 to support materials for her process-based sculptural paintings.
Benedict Scheuer has received $1500 to support materials to create photographic-sculpture hybrids inspired by the creation of a garden grown in Tennessee.
Maxwell Holden has received $750 to support materials for his creation of ceramic works inspired by walks in Luka Park.

Malik Kamagate has received $1500 for a documentary on spoken word poetry/hip hop literacy program at a juvenile correctional facility in Columbus.

In the fall of 2018, we had a smaller grant offering, and three Art MFA’s received $500 apiece: Nick Larsen, Calista Lyon, and Kellie Bornhoft.
