Advanced production and study of antique and alternative processes in photography such as non-silver emulsions, through the creation of a cohesive body of work.
In Alternative Process Photography, students expand on advanced approaches to photography techniques and aesthetic matters while focusing on historic and alternative approaches to photography. We will create and analyze photographs through hands-on studio work projects, group critiques, writing artist statements, and examining photos from a variety of cultural, conceptual, and historical standpoints. Prereq: permission of instructor.
