Patrick O'Rorke

My interest in pattern has strongly influenced my work as a visual artist, whether found in the fabrication of a quilt, on commercially printed fabric, or in the lo-fi repetitive graphics of The Simpsons or 8-bit Nintendo video games.  My paintings deconstruct, restyle and recombine these elements with aesthetics stolen from Folk, Decorative and Pop Art and a ravaged conception of high craft and Minimalism.
