Kate Shannon is an Assistant Professor of Art at The Ohio State University's Mansfield Campus where she teaches digital imaging, photography, and multimedia courses. She received the Ohio State University Mansfield Campus Excellence in Teaching Award in 2010. Shannon’s work explores concepts such as desire and enjoyment through a combination of photography and digital imaging. Her images have been displayed nationally, most recently at the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Woman Made Gallery in Chicago, and the 2010 Midwestern Society of Photographic Educator’s conference in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Photography from The University of Kentucky and her Master of Fine Arts Degree in Photography from The Ohio State University.
