The Painting and Drawing studios are located on the fourth floor of Hopkins Hall and on the third floor of Hayes Hall. There are four undergraduate painting studios in Hopkins, each equipped with easels, palette tables, natural light and painting racks. Twelve semi-private graduate studios offer students prime space for their work, critique and dialogue. The primary drawing studio in Hayes Hall is equipped with drawing tables, drawing horses, and easels. An informal gallery space and project room compliments the studios as a place for experimentation and presentation.
Painting students also have access to extensive computer facilities for digital imaging and manipulation as well as a wood shop in Hopkins Hall. Photography and printmaking labs will be located in Hopkins as of 2011 for use by all students.
