Awards & Scholarships

The Department of Art offers several forms of scholarship and award support.

Undergraduate students may submit work for consideration for scholarship awards in conjunction with the annual spring student exhibition. Scholarships are awarded by a committee of department faculty. Some awards are open to all majors while others may be designated to specific areas of study. Complete list of the current scholarship awards [pdf].

Undergraduate and graduate students may also submit work for the Annual Fergus Family Exhibition and Awards. The selection of this award takes place during the autumn semester and is again determined by a faculty committee. A catalogue of these exhibitions and awards is published biannually.

Graduate students also recieve support from the Fergus Materials Grant to assist in completing their research and  prepare work for the thesis exhbition. Funds are granted following the approval of the thesis committee, and funding is typically $500.
