The degree programs and the minor program offered in the Department of Art at The Ohio State University are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). This makes the Department of Art one of the most comprehensive, exclusively studio-based departments in the United States. Students work toward undergraduate and graduate degrees, concentrating in areas of art and technology, ceramics, glass, painting and drawing, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. The department emphasizes interdisciplinary experience as well as the study of theoretical and critical activities of the studio artist. Art faculty members are active in teaching and exhibiting around the world. The department's visiting artist program brings internationally known artists to campus to teach courses and to work with students individually.
